D is for Dancing

My selected submission for ALFABETO Magazine.
(My first ever published illustration :D)
Alfabeto is a platform that aims to create a common encyclopaedia. The goal is to grow our understanding of the world through the experiences of others.

Alfabeto chooses one letter each month, in alphabetical order, and gives a prompt to create essays, short stories, interviews, photographs, illustrations, drawings, poems and thoughts.

April's letter was D; D is for Dance

Version 1

Version 2

Version 1
This character is the child of David Bowie and a Cowgirl. It started being only a woman with a red 70s outfit and then, by a suggestion of a friend who loves to wear cowboy hats, it transformed into this.
The rope was the last element I added. I couldn't decide how I liked it best so I submitted the 'without the rope' and 'with rope' versions.
