DREAMWEAVING WITHIN

Dreamweaving Within is a VR prototype created during the Kaboom Virtual Reality Residency, where our diverse team of five creatives came together to dive into the fascinating connection between dreams and VR. Over six months, we explored how the language of dream images—something that’s often overlooked in the rush of modern life—can offer new insights for virtual design.

This project embraces the mystery of dreams, recognizing that while we can “see” these images, fully grasping their meanings often feels just out of reach. Trying to pin them down with logic can sometimes take us even further from their essence, which lies in feeling and intuition. So instead of strict definitions, we at Kaboom celebrate the beauty and ambiguity of these dream symbols, building an interactive experience that taps into the unique, emotive power of the dream world.

The result? A VR experience still in progress but filled with the wonder and complexity of dreams. In Dreamweaving Within, participants are invited to set aside their urge to rationalize and instead journey into a space where imagination and intuition take the lead. Our hope is for people to reconnect with the dream world, exploring new ways of seeing and understanding within the VR realm.

I was mainly in charge of designing  Scene 1 of the Mall (3rd video on 1st row) in Blender and coordinate the voice actors.
